A Victim that chooses to be a Survivor

For the majority of my childhood I was a victim of childhood bullying. I was bullied from Grammar School to High School. I remember countless nights of crying myself to sleep and having very few friends. I was shy and had poor social skills. I was very awkward and just preferred to be alone.

Now that I look back I think wow I would just watch people. I learned there mannerisms and what makes others tick. I used this when I got into my teens to stand up for myself. I decided about the 8th grade that those peoples opinions did not matter. I choose to love me and give myself value. It was not overnight.

I am the clap back queen now. LOL They were not ready when I entered High School. I laugh to this day about the crap they tried on me.

If we can teach the generations under us to love and value themselves and others. We can change the world. We can stop mass school shootings, youth suicide, and self abuse. We can change the view of the person by changing the way situations are seen. Giving an alternative view that allows the youth the properly process the situation in a healthy way. Teach them they are loved and they can love. The power of the world LOVE.
